The Prytaneion was the town hall of Ephesus, where the sacred flame of the city was kept burning eternally. It served as the administrative heart of the city and a place where official guests were entertained. Excavations here revealed the famous statues of Artemis, now displayed in the Selçuk Museum, highlighting the building’s religious and civic importance.
